Top Six Reasons to ride a bike from the '80's

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Im going to sell it as soon as a put together a new bike that I can easly mount fenders and a Campagnolo gruppo on.

I like my new aluminum Cinelli much better than that old steelie.
I have a later UK built Super Galaxy. Has a full Deore group with the weird exception of Campy cantilevers. I absolutely love mine.

5.) None of that new-fangled STI crap for you Modern STI on classic hand crafted SL/SLX rules.
6.) Nothing beats a classic bicycle brand name like 'Motobecane' before it was Taiwanicated by BDYep, I like my Moto
Modern is great, but there is room for both.

One of the best things about Vintage/Classic bikes is that some people just don't get it - and because of this, they keep the prices down.
Oh well, this is a topic for the Vintage/Classic forum anyway.

So, give Townes a Hofner (I had one in '62 which I couldn't learn to play. Sold it and bought my first road bike) and what have you got? Give a BF BSr a Colnago and what have you got?
