Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giant Healthnet Purchase

I am in the market for a new road bike. I have came across a very clean Giant TCR Comp Healthnet bike. Not sure the year I am trying to find out. lt has full Dura Ace componets and carbon FSA crank. They want $1450 for the bike, IS THIS A GOOD DEAL?

well- we have no idea.

is it your size? (do you know your size?)
what year is it? (yes, you are working on this, but until then it remains a question)
How worn are the components?
Has it been wrecked?
Have you ridden it? Ridden other TCRs? Will you get to ride it before you buy?
Does it fit you?
the biggest one is this- if it doesn't fit, than it isn't a good deal

I happen to get all hot and gushy about TCRs, and Giant bikes in general... but with this little data- who knows?

It is a 2005, never wrecked and all components seem to be working great. And YES IT DOES FIT, I wouldn't be looking at if it didn't. He is willing to take $1100

Sounds like a better than reasonable price. I would.
