All I Wanna Do Is Ride My Bike...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It sucks getting old and having responsibilities and trying to balance everything in our hetic lives. But it's not all bad.
Make sure you schedule time for yourself in and amoung all the other things you've got going on.

I just have to go through every single piece of paper in my possession and decide if it is important enough to keep or not.

And then I have to go through my CDs, books, clothing, cycling stuff, school supplies of various sorts, ornaments, kitchen ware, etc. etc. etc. ... and make the same decision, all with the goal of getting my entire collection of possessions down to 500 cubic feet.

I also need to make a list of people I need to see and places I need to go to make sure I've got everything in place for my upcoming immigration (39 days).

So ........ I went for a 100 km ride instead!

I'll take the CDs and books off your hands (no art text books from school though)

You sir, you are correct...

It takes a Vermonter to recognize that mistake...

I am going to need at least that in crushed stone and then some gravel as well...

Move someplace you can ride outdoors all year long. That will 2X your time to ride.

Oh also get rid of that work thing .. it's over rated

Taking care of yourself is an investment in the well being of the whole family.
So...invest heavily.
I use that excuse also when buying bike stuff (hehe).

There are plenty of roads around here that Obama's stimulus money could be well spent...

Be careful on Rt 5...

I was riding from Putney to Brattleboro Sunday 2 weeks ago and a cyclist was hit from behind by a teenager looking at her GPS the day before...

Very scary...

ugh, that's awful. actually i'm not surprised. there's no shoulder for the most part and the road is just cracked all to hell. i won't be riding there again any time soon. i sure hope that rider can recover.

on the other hand, rt. 142 south of bratt was repaved last year and is beautiful shape.

putney, brattelboro, route 5...

your threads always bring back flashbacks to either skiing/snowboarding trips, or bike races.

PS: Problem is I have so much clutter going on right now, I don't know when I'll grow up.
