Carbon Seat Post "crimp"

I was looking over my bike the other day and noticed what looked like a "bulge" in my seat post where the clamp goes around. I pulled out the seat post and there is a bulge and crimp marks. Should I be worried? Is this normal? I'm a Clyde, so it makes me that much more nervous. I use a torque wrench, but maybe I overtightened it in the past.

hard to tell without pic's.

Yes you should be concerned.

Sounds like it was over torqued.

I was cleaning my Glock the other day, and noticed a round wedged in the chamber...

yeah, you should be concerned. Pull the seatpost and mic it to see if there really is a bulge there. If so, you probably don't want to ride it, although there are many worse things that can happen on a bike than a failed seatpost.

It's visibly bulged. I'll replace it. Thanks for the input. I figured I knew the answer, but I wanted confirmation.
