Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Universal Sport.com feed not coming up

Is anyone able to actually get the the player on universalsports.com to play the giro? It just plays a 30-second advertisement for the Giro and then goes blank.

I am getting the video feed, but no commentary, just the whine of the motorcycle or helicopter.

Thanks. It seems you need to install the windows media add-on for firefox for it to work.

Go to cyclingfans.com and click on the eurosport english audio feed (turn down the volume on the universal feed). The two are synced pretty well.

It's a very choppy, slow feed though. How is it for everyone else?

Is it crashing your browser?

I'm having this problem with both browsers and apparently with any source that streams windows media format. Weak.

If you're on OSX, you need to view it in Safari and have the Flip4Mac plugin installed. There are links for this in the "Video Help" link at the top left.

I just tuned in a few minutes before noon EDT. Saw the presentation of the maglia rosa just fine. Had commentary in English for a few seconds and then silence but the quality of the feed seemed very good. I'll tune in earlier tomorrow.

Does anyone know how to record the giro stream from Windows Media Player? I can't watch the full coverage in the morning but I have oodles of time to watch it on my Archos 605 media player in the evening at work. IT handles most video formats, mpeg4, divx, etc.
