Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

they are great....just ordered a Assos jacket from them. They ship very quickly and the product is always in great shape in original packaging. If there is one place on the internet that you can order bike stuff from and feel good about it, it is competitive. They might not always have the best deals but they are by far the most professional company I've ordered from.

Their service is really good but they're expensive unless you get something on a close out sale. I usually got with overseas vendors who offer some great deals on gear and components, often way cheaper than CC on sale.

$650 brand new powertap laced on a swiss wheel... it's what you call a "no-brainer"

I wanted to order from them but they did not appear to ship here so I called them. They told me that they do not ship to Singapore but the guy on the phone was more than happy to give me advice. They came over as cyclists which is not the case when you speak to the likes of PBK.

I can't recommend them highly enough. I've ordered everything from them, from socks to my SRAM Force-equipped Cervelo P2C. Awesome to deal with, great service, best website in the business.

^^^ Yes

Moreover, I used to live near their location (before their time) and have ridden around Burns Park many times, though mostly on a motorcycle. Awesome area. Arkansas is underrated for cycling and other outdoor activities.

I just ordered the following from them. Every time I called, someone picked up. They're even exchanging a cassette and covering the shipping. Very satisfying experience.

Best website around for viewing products. They actually answer their phone and respond to email in a timely fashion. I have purchased frames, wheels, and components with perfect results. I currently have a Pegoretti on order with them. I completely trust these guys.......

Definitely great service when you call them and they certainly seem to know what they're talking about. I bought the Streetfire on sale from them and it got here pretty much ready to go.

Waiting on my second bike from them, scheduled to arrive tomorrow. First bike was totaled in a crash, ordered their demo BMC SLC01 Pro Machine for a week. Couldn't take it out the first couple days as i was still dealing with a concussion - they let me keep the demo bike for two weeks so that I'd have it up until my new bike was ready.

Exceptional service and amazing consumer experience. I'm dying to go to Arkansas (never thought I'd say that...no offense to all you Akansasians out there) to walk through their new offices.

Highly recommend you all check out their What's New section; quality, candid musings from their CEO

How are you liking your Streetfire?...I'm so close to ordering one, if I can convince myself I can spend the money haha. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Suh-weet!!! Nice job, I got the same group and love it.

Competitive always answers my questions the same day I ask them, not sure how they do it. Once they even steered me clear of buying a bike (Willier Mort) from them because they didn't feel like it was the "right bike" for me. Can't beat that service in an online shop.

How can you even be annoyed with competitive? That's completely your fault...you should be annoyed with yourself.

Fine company. Their only shortcoming is that they occasionally have inaccurate descriptions of items on their web site. When I call or email the correction they respond politely and then they just leave the inaccurate information on the web site. This has been the case on two expensive Assos items and the drop out on the Pinarello Prince.

150 miles on it so far and I really like it. It's not the lightest bike out there but hardly a sluggish , it transfers power really well so you feel the quick acceleration with every pedal stroke. It's not a harsh ride considering it's all aluminum except for the fork, and I've commuted with it to see how it fares on NYC streets - so far so good. The Fulcrums are fine but a bit heavy, I'm going to stick with them for now but at some point I'd like to get something lighter. I have Williams System 19s on my Orbea so perhaps I'll get the Sytem 30s for the BMC, but I want to give the Fulcrums a long run. The people at Competitive Cycling were really helpful with questions I had concerning the bike, and it arrived pretty much ready to roll; the only thing I had to do was attach the handlebars to the stem, place the seatpost, and put on the wheels.

That pretty much sums it up. I'm cheap and have only ordered from sales though my wife has bought some of their posters. Good service and reasonable shipping times.

I was very disappointed that they chose to blow out the "old" Campy Record 10 right after I finished my new bike; leaving me broke and unable to take the opportunity to upgrade from Centaur.

Very impressed with the quick order turnaround and the very helpful and extremely knowledgeable staff

I ordered a Damocles yesterday and it is being delivered tomorrow. The "chat with a respresentative" or whatever they call it is terrific.
