Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You guys need to find some hills to ride up

Ever ridden up the Long Mynd? The photos in this set are of my Wales trip:

This is a friend of mine going up ahead of me, up the Asherton Bank way. It's a 25% grade and I found it difficult to walk up nevermind ride.

Training ride earlier this year:

Seeing the scenery you all have compared with what I've got to deal with is sort of depressing... Makes it sort of hard to get out and ride sometimes when all you've got to look forward to is endless cornfields. Time to move!

It's on the Hirnant Pass near Bala (ish). It's on the Wild Wales sportive we do every year.
