Giro and pro riders- Another planet?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giro and pro riders- Another planet?

I am watching the Giro. Now, I have been to tons of the towns they have been passing through in the last few stages, and I can tell you they make it look like they are doing nothing. The camera angles do the race no justice at all. Going through some of those mountains/hills at the speeds they are is simply insane. These guys are not only gifted physically, but they are in another planet that most of us are not.

More power to those who can. Discuss........

During the Tour of Lombardy last year, Versus had a short segment on Damiano Cunego. In it there was a clip of him racing full speed in the peloton right next to the center divider of the road. Suddenly he jumps the curb onto the center divider, rides across it at a diagonal, and jumps off the other side in the other lane. He executes this maneuver while standing/hammering on his pedals and probably cranking along at 30mph. He didn't miss a beat.

Can you find a video of this? I'd love to see it. I've been looking for awhile and can't find it yet.

These guys can go uphill into the wind faster than I can go downhill with the wind at my back. LOL Pro cyclists always impress me on their speed.

Yep, and it's not played in the states too much either.

Just go to http://www.universalsports.com/ViewA...ATCLID=3734597 @ 8:40am EST to watch online (for free) instead.
