Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aero-rims

I have found myself day-dreaming about buying a set of carbon aero wheels for my Tarmac. Probably won't happen any time soon...unless I find an awesome deal on some...but it's nice to work through potential issues long beforehand.

Tubular vs clincher is something I find myself debating. Tubular being lighter...clincher being more flat friendly? Do many of you ride on tubes regularly or is it a race day only thing?

Are they a massive pain to fix roadside?

I was reading up on Easton EC90s...they seem like a decent set, from a reputable company for a good price (ideally I'd go Zipp 808's for the big stickers but you know :-))...though I read the aren't waterproof?? Apparently they take on water...if the net isn't lying to me. Not that would be a problem for my fair weather only bike but it really surprised me, I never really considered that issue.

Anyone have any opinions on this particular wheelset?

How about similar wheelsets?
