Your favorite food after ride

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Your favorite food after ride

Forget about what your nutritionist recommends, fill in the following blank:

In the last 5 miles, you are thinking: Man, I gotta have some _____ after the ride!

My answer: soba needle (summer) and a beer

I'd say a PB&J sandwich, a big glass of orange juice, and perhaps some soggy fig newtons left from my jersey pocket.

...Hell after a long ride I'll go for about anything!

Just about any meat and carb combo followed by a fat slice of rasberry rhubarb pie.

*drool*.

I missed the rhubarb season this year. I'm upset. Strawberry rhubarb pie is close to the top of my list of favorite foods.

My nutritionist? That's funny! What's soba needle?

No, I've been here a few years.

Lately I have been enjoying the soy ramen at a Japanese restaurant called Kabuki.

Pizza and beer! Hey, after not eating much and loosing 63 pounds now to get skinny (new scale says 145 this morning, old scale would be at 142 - don't know which is right), I'll eat what I want! And after a LONG ride, that's usually what I want.

97 miles coming tomorrow, followed by pizza and beer
