Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Definitely a fun event today. The crash in the women's race was unfortunate. Georgeous day out today to boot.

My first time today and it was so cool. Next year I plan to stay for the day vs riding over. We had to leave as the women started so I was not aware of the crash.

There was only one or two Bissell riders in the field. I got up there about 1/2 way through the cat2 race. Great weather and the cat2 and pro guys put on a great show. A rough calculation put the avg speed of the 50mi pro race at 29.XXXmph! Good times and Philly is ina few weeks too!

I raced in Somerville a bunch of times, as well as Manville and Bound Brook. Used to live outside of Princeton, CRCA team.

Great events.

I see the Hall of Fame is moving. I'm not totally up on the logistics of that...I see it's moving to Davis Ca. Why are they moving for Somerville? That was a big deal for them.

BTW...it's a ton of fun if the roads are wet.

Nice shots. I'm usually there every year, but we were hosting a bbq so I was on honey-do duty. I was there saturday for the crits. Found the time yesterday to squeeze in a 25 mi ride, but my legs were shot from too many consecutive days of riding/racing.

Too bad about the women's crash. A few years ago they had to medevac one of the racers after her bad crash.
