Carbon fiber fork help...please

I'm going to be upgrading the fork on my 2000 univega modo volare, it has a 1" threadless, non-integrated steerer. I also use short reach campy calipers. I'm looking to spend a somewhere around $300 or maybe even a little less if there's a deal for a new fork. I'm currently looking at the CS20 from Alpha Q, which appears to be the best that I've found. I haven't seen many 1" forks available, I would really appreciate some recommendations. Please don't think I'm just pawning off the research, I've been looking for a little over a week. Thanks so much.

don't take it personally... he was just asking for clarification. Pictures also help, especially when you don't know the name of stuff...

good luck with the upgrade
