What's waiting on the end of this craiglist deal?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

He has this listed too, based on a quick google of his phone number.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/1189701849.html

He lists them for same price, but to me the Look is superior. They're also listed in different areas of San Fran (based on the CL ads). I would say it's a total scam, or the bikes were stolen.

That is almost all seat-tube, not seat-post. Look at the graphics and the red line.

That bike is built like a torture device, the riders nose will be below his knees. Small wonder It's for sale.

There have been several similar ads on my local Craigslist lately. Yesterday, there was one for a Cervelo RS with full Sram Red and Ksyriums for $1500. The other was today for a Trek Equinox TTX 9.9SSL in stock trim (full Red and XXX Lite carbon clinchers) for $1000. I brought them both up with my cycling buddy at work, and neither of us can decide what the end game of such a scam would be.

Hmm, so according to that ad from which the craigslist one was stolen it's a large which would make it much smaller than 63cm.

It's usually the "I'm on business in London but you can western union me the money and I'll get the bike to you." kind of thing.

I thought of that, but figured that no one would be dumb enough to wire money to someone for a local sale, and that it had to be something more devious. That is probably giving way too much credit.

Edit: Yep, same ad as in St. Louis.
