I need road pedals, w/o clips

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need road pedals, w/o clips

I have an old Cannondale road bike with big mountain pedals, black plastic clips, and nylon straps. I would like to get road pedals, clips and straps (you know, the non aggressive foot bed and the chrome plated clips?). Any suggestions? I can't seem to find anything but clipless pedals for road.

Thanks,

ehenz

I got mine from Rivendell, www.rivbike.com. They have at least two or three models. Nashbar and Performance usually have them, too, and probably a little cheaper.
When you get them, I'd check the bearings for grease and adjustment. Most platform pedals these days are low end, and the last couple of pairs I've bought have been hastily assembled with a minimum of cheap grease.

MKS sylvan road pedals, classic design, smooth bearing action, very sexy pedal. i have the track version without the rounded bit on the ends. very good, solid pedal.
