More Mt. Lemmon....such a beautiful ride. Been closed for quite a while now due to wild fires, unfortunately.

Not sure this qualifies for true empty road ahead, but this is the countryside where I ride bike. This uphill sometimes gets the better of me and I stop and take in the view, really to recover the breath.

This second pic is just after putting that hill behind me. But I think that is another day ride, since the light direction doesn't seem to be the same.

Another spot in the area where I often take a break and take in the view. This one surely qualifies for open road ahead. Mostly I never need to wait for cars to clear out, it is very seldom I see one indeed.
I got new (secondhand) carbon bike and am itching to return to EU to ride on these roads there.

Wow, there is definitely a hint of fall in the air. Some trees are just beginning to turn. I saw lots of turkeys. Another majestic ride!

Not quite empty but, a spectacular road none-the-less. US 550 outside of Ouray, Colorado, also known as The Million Dollar Highway. Lots of fun to drive in the winter on the way to Telluride

Last monday I organized a watertower chase contest for myself, which I also participated 🤫.
I did a 37km roundtrip with my bicycle and I found the tower first 😎.
Don't need to explain all the preparation, planning, research and exploration that came along with this major event in my life.
Feel free to subscribe to the Watertower Appreciation Society Group on Facebook!

School Rd. Near Aromas, CA. A short detour off the main route with the first and last half miles, ridiculously steep.
