Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just feast your eyes on the wonderment that is rural SoCal asphalt. Or as I call it, California Cobblestone.

Well, we'll all be paying more in gas/vehicle registration fees in California soon and so that will be fixed up in no time!

But, seriously--where is that? It has a rough-hewn beauty to it! I'd actually love to ride that road.

That's the extreme north end of Alessandro in Moreno Valley, just before it dead-ends into Gilman Springs. Though in truth, most of the roads in Moreno Valley look like that.
