How much did you spend on your main whip?

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

The bike: $1050, give or tax a few dollars, tax included
The wheels: $667

TOTAL: $1717

The other bike: $300
Maintenance and such: ~$800 (amortized over two years looks nicer)
Upgrades, parts and other things: $300-$400

TOTAL: $1400 - $1500

planned purchases

Soul 4.0 for the first bike
Xero XR-1 for the second bike

so that's like $600 right there
