Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giordanna Silverline Sizing

I currently wear a medium PI jersey that I bought locally and it doesn't seem to fit quite right. It is pretty tight in the chest and shoulders, but not tight enough in the stomach / waist area. The chart on PI's website indicates that this is the proper size though.

I'm looking at buying one or a few of the jersey mentioned in the title.

My chest measures 38 in. and my waist 32 in., which would put me right at the bottom of the large category according to the sizing chart for the jersey. Any recommendations based on experience with this jersey? Should I just go with a medium and deal with it if it's a bit tight?

PI are sized "generously" in my experience. Their size M is the right length for me but feels like I'm wearing a hot-air balloon. Their size S is too short. The experience I have with Giordana jerseys has been good - the mediums are the right length and fit me width-wise. Their Silverline shorts do not fit me well at all. Their mediums fit me a little tightly in the legs and loosely in the butt. I guess their clothes are designed for skinny guys with big butts. BTW my chest is 38" and my waist is 29".

Thanks. Based on what you're saying, I think I'll go with the medium since my PI medium seems a bit too big.

honestly, a medium PI would be a bit too big for anyone, PI stuff in general is cut HUGE! Giordanna jerseys and shorts, on the other hand, are one of the best fitting shorts and jerseys out there...

good luck with whatever you get...

I'm glad you didn't have a different opinion since I already ordered the medium
