Lennard Zinn Experience
I had a problem running the shifter cables with Campy's new shifter ergonomics. The directions were not at all clear, and nobody on the Bicycle Mechanics forum replied. So, I emailed Lennard Zinn last week. I was very surprised to find that he emailed me back, explaining how to run the cable. Then, a friend called me and said it was on velonews.com today. If I just had a local bike shop, maybe I could just ask them next time.

Zinn seems pretty cool. He has some books on bike mechanics, too.

Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance is my main reference. There are lots of great online references too, but it's nice to have a book near the bike when doing something new or complicated.
