Can anyone identify these Carnacs for me?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can anyone identify these Carnacs for me?

Just picked these up, curious what the model is and if I need any insert to mount Look cleats?

Carnacs do use adapters but it looks like you've got the Look adapter on there already. They usually come with that and you have to buy the others. Botto would probably know the model...looks like the Winner but not quite.

I believe you're right. I just noticed the rubber pieces aren't there. You can also replace the blue/yellow piece with a carbon one. They do make the cleat installation needlessly complicated.

and of course the only places that seem to sell these inserts are in the UK and don't ship international . . . . maybe these weren't such a good deal after all.

Thanks for your help by the way, much appreciated. I might just say screw it and mount the cleats to the bottom of the shoe sans insert.

it seems as though Carnac has almost completely pulled out of the US?

Oschner Int'l (US distributor listed on Carnac site) said they haven't carried Carnac for awhile and that maybe Carnac just dealt directly with stores.

But the stores I've called who showed up on a map of Carnac dealers all say they haven't carried Carnac for some time and any Carnac shoes they do have are left over from previous shipments. 1 shop said they would check their storeroom for the inserts, but I'm not really holding my breath.

This is turning out to be quite the goose chase.
