FUZION F1 Road wheelset
I just purchased this wheelset from an E-bay seller who has a tour de France special going on. I got them for $160 shipped. I know there's hardly any info on these but at this price I decided I would try them. After doing the research it looks as if they are sold by Williams Cycling (both have the same contact address in Stockton CA). This spring I bought a Caad 9-5. wheelest that it came with is the Shimano WH-RS-10, and is very flexy. The wheels rub the brake pads everytime I get out of the saddle. I weigh 180, so hopefully the fuzions will be a bit more solid than the shimanos (4 more spokes, front and rear). I'm looking for anyone else who has any experience with these wheels. If not, I'll add more info when I get the wheels and try them out.

I purchased them when the price dropped to $160 (it's $175 now I believe), they were selling at $259 previously.
For the price it's hard to complain, they're reasonably light, although they don't feel ridiculously fast. I did maybe 50 miles on them this weekend with no complaints.

I just received my set of Fuzion F1's yesterday. Ordered them directly from Fuzionwheels.com. I found very limited information about them online so it was kind of a leap of faith. I'm thinking it's because the company is that new. The price was sure right. I paid only $175, including shipping. Since they seem to be a low end division of Williams wheels I figured they were worth a shot.
Out of the box they were both true; the front was just slightly off but within tolerance; the rears were dead on. Spoke tension was tight and consistent throughout. My scale put them about 93g over their claimed 1685g per set. I'm not a weight weenie so I can deal with that. I'm replacing a set of worn out Aksiums. The F1's were still about 200g lighter.
So far I'm pleased with my purchase. They look well made, feel solid and the bearings were butter smooth right out of the box. Now time to take them out for a spin. I'll get back on here with an update after a couple hundred miles.

I'm thinking about replacing a set of ALX-290s also; any more feedback now that some of you have more miles on the Fuzions? Would you buy them again or spend a few more dollars for Soul, Neuvation, etc?

Any more reports on these wheels? They seem very interesting at this price point.

I'm really liking my set of Fuzion F1s. A definite upgrade from my generic Alex AK1 rear wheel and Forte Titan front. But then I'm sure nearly any decent wheelset would be an upgrade from that garbage. But at this price, I'm pretty hard pressed to find any other wheelset that can compare.
Shimano sora, blah blah blah. Going to switch to 105 soon. With the fuzions, climbing has gotten significantly easier, acceleration is better, and I've knocked off a few hundred grams from my last set up.

Any problems with the wheelset being out of true or hub noise? I would like to order a set to replace my Bontrager SSR as my main wheels.

I've put a few hundred miles on the F1's now. They do seem lighter than the Aksiums I replaced, but mostly they feel more plush without being flexy. Nice ride on these. Will report back after a some more long rides.

I'm also switched out a set of Aksiums for F1's. When I installed my 10spd Ultegra cassette without the 1mm spacer I had on the Mavics, the cassette remained loose no matter how much I tightened down the lock ring. But when I use the spacer my middle four gears don't engage properly. The Fuzion freehub is less than 1mm narrower than the Mavic hub. What cassette are you using on the Fuzions? Did you have to use a different size spacer? Since the Fuzions are sold as 9/10 wheels I didn't think spacers would be an issue, but the bike hasn't been shifting right since I installed them.

Anyone have the M1's? I am 210lbs and have been looking for some higher spoke count wheels to hold my weight. Do you think the F1's would hold up?

I e-mailed Fuzion about the weight limits of their wheels. The F1 is 180, while the M1 is up to 225. I will have to look up the info at home tonight. I am 205 so the F1 was out of the picture. The M1 were a little too heavy for my tastes.

The guys at Fuzion customer service are worthless. In a series of emails over the past two and half weeks seems no one there can answer what should be a simple question - what size spacer do I need for my 10spd Ultegra cassette? I finally just went to my LBS. It's still not shifting smoothly but it's better. I hope I don't have any warrantee issues because based on this back and forth Fuzion hasn't been much help at all.

keep the reviews coming on these wheels, for those who have them, as I have been looking at them as well. Would the decals come of easily for a more stealth look??

bump.
Looking for a cheap set of wheels for my CX build and my Serotta rain bike. F1's seem like a decent deal.

Here's an update on my F!'s. I've put just over 600 miles on them now. This includes one flat, fast paced century and one hilly century. The rest are commuter miles. I have to say these wheels are great - if you consider the price - they are fantastic. They're still perfectly true and spoke tension is still even and tight. The hubs still spin silky smooth; the rears are perhaps even smoother now that they have some miles. The braking surfaces are nicely machined for quick stops, but I wish they had cut in a wear indicator. They do feel a bit "softer" than some Mavics I've had, noticeable on acceleration from stop, but once up to speed they are every bit as stable. Since they're rated at 180lbs and I'm packing 187lbs at the moment, I do tend to take ruts and bumps with a bit more caution, but so far no issues.
As a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" a part of me is still waiting for them to blow up or fall apart but I just don't see that happening any time soon, unless I cause it by going down. As I mentioned in a previous post the customer service could be better. They never did help me with my cassette spacer question. That issue is now solved and I'm enjoying my purchase. I would recommend these to anyone on a budget looking for a solid set of non-descript wheels.
