Don't stop for water at a prison....

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't stop for water at a prison....

So I tried a new road ner my house. I get out 20 miles or so which is all incline. I had dropped a bottle 8 miles in that emptied out, and it was a pretty hot today.

So i see what looks like a Firestation or Park ranger station and I pull in. I'm reading the signs which say, Prison Property, all visitors will be searched, etc. I'm looking around and there is no one in site. So I pull up to the firetruck and theres a hose spiget next to it. I look to the left and there is a large guy in an orange jumpsuit just walkin around. Then two guards/sherriffs come over with hands on guns... They ask for ID and what the heck im doing on the prison grounds... I say hey I lost a bottle and need water since there's no where else to stop that I can find.

They let me get water and said not to stop there again.

Anyway, kind of crazy, never had that happen before and I also didnt know there was a prison that close to my house.

Large guy's in orange jumpsuits might like rather slim guys in spandex. That is a funny story.

You got off without a cavity search? You never watched "Wayne's World"?

Is that the one on Mulholland?

Funny thing is, the Malibu Country Club is just down the road. Don't get your directions mixed up if you decide you'd like to play a round of golf!
