New Nike Just Do It Spot with Lance.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have come to realize that there really isn't any point to try and debate facts with some BFers.

Lance cheated.
No he didn't.
Yes he did.
Prove it.
No, you.

Sigh...

I feel your pain. But what's to debate? We weren't there so we don't know whether he cheated or not. Nobody does. So if they can't prove he did, then you must give him the benefit of the doubt.

After that, what's there to debate? Next topic!

You guys should have been there to testify for SCA. Maybe then they wouldn't have had to pay Lance the $7.5 million for not being able to prove he used performance enhancing substances. They had 7.5 million reasons to try to prove he cheated and could not because there is NO proof.

Yes, they did have two witnesses that I know personally involved in that trial, and everyone who knows these people and their level of integrity would have no doubt in their mind regardless of the verdict.

As a newbie....
It’s somewhat disheartening to see that “purpose driven” forums are subjected to the same level of moronic, fact-less, trollian behavior as the political/opinion blog sites, and to think I thought cruising BF would not require navigating steaming piles of BS

You are absolutely correct. Who could argue with the reports of 'eye witnesses'. It's all very compelling I agree, but it's not proof of anything. With these types of accusations something a little more concrete would be nice. Like a positive test or a syringe with DNA on it but these things don't exist. People are so convinced it would seem that such evidence does in fact exist but alas it does not.

This ironic comment didn't upset me. No.

What upsets me is that the text coding for the decrepit old man smiley is the numeral 50 (flanked by colons) and I am 51.

I love Lance. He is Mother F'ng Teresa on a bike battling cancer. I could give an F if he doped, it would not dent the mountain of good he has accomplished with the Livestrong crusade. He's the man and I would be proud to accomplish / survive a fraction of what he has. Hate him if you want but I think that says more about you than him.... (For Pcad / Mr. 51)

And that nike add gave me chills....

This is the longest thread Ive read all the way through (except girls of foo, because really, thats not even work).

I've lost a grandfather, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and several other family members to cancer. I think the work Lance does on behalf of cancer research is terrific.

I dont truly care if he cheated or not. If he cheated 99% of the rest did too, and while 2 wrongs dont make a right, it at least equals the playing field. If he doped, its his will and determination that led him to beat all the other dopers, and that didnt exist until after cancer. If he didnt dope, then its even more amazing.

Even though the SCA trial brought out a preponderance of evidence that Pharmstrong is a fraud, it was irrelevant to the issue being decided.

Because he was recognized by the UCI as the champion of the TdF he got the payment.

He never tested positive with an A and B sample, oops, except for the corticoids and he got a note from his mommy.

Anyway, the commercial is laughable, fraudulent and pathetic.

I love the people who are smoking with a Livestrong bracelet on. When they first came out I played dumb and asked one of the Livestrong/smokers what the band was for, "it's for cancer man." Thanks.
