Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not on group rides but by myself I listen to music with both headphones in. I stick to roads with very lil traffic and very cautious.

I think I may just mount a small screen on m handlebars so I can watch the tour while I ride.

For me, it's almost necessary for long solo rides. I don't need to hear wind in my ears for hours. I do 90% of my riding on a paved trail though, so I don't have to worry about cars. If I do happen to be riding where traffic is a concern, sometimes I'll pop out one earbud.

I usually don't bother with music for shorter rides though (30 min - 1 hour). These are the rides on which I become one with nature or some other cheesy garbage you are probably going to see in this thread.

That's the team radio. It's the coach telling them what to do. It's NOT Metallica...which is my favorite exercise music.

Your children will turn gay, your dog will loose its hair, your wife will run off with another man, and you will ride off the side of a cliff.
Now excuse me while I beat myself over the head with a 2X4 due to the incessant tired arguments in the latest edition of this lame topic. I believe this is thread number 13324329009

Don't bother listening to music when I'm out riding. But do when I'm on the trainer or rollers.

if you aren't uptight about the weight of your bike, i suggest this

https://www.ihomeaudio.com/iH85

its slightly bigger than a water bottle cage mount but is great. i love mine and use it whenever i go biking; its very loud, i never have to use it at higher volumes..
