Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Jerk Driver

So there's a jerk driver that's well known around here. He's even been convicted of harassing cyclists.

He's been continuing to harass and buzz riders. When law enforcement talks to him, he denies that he drove close to them.

Yesterday the wife and I were riding single file, as far to the right as practicable. We hear a horn and the guy coming up on us and he's not passing. (Of course- he ends up being the one holding up traffic) No oncoming traffic. Then he drives about a foot away from us. The cars following then give us plenty of room.

Funny thing. I just happened to be testing new equipment-

that happened to be turned on-

that happened to be recording-

That piece of equipment happened to be a VholdR facing rearwards. (CDR- going to be used for a picture in picture for some crits)

That video is now going to the DA's office with a nice little note.

Post the vid, if you will. And keep us posted on what response you get from the authorities.

LOL find out where he lives, and put little pebbles under his valve stem caps ... or better yet buy the tool for removing the valve stem core, & use it. ...but make sure you leave it on the the ground or something, you dont want to be stealling. : o)

If that fails, spray a can of great stuff in his muffler.

This wouldn't happen to be a red pickup?

If nothing else happens, he can at least incur some legal headaches and expenses.

Congratulations- going your advice, a cyclist would go from being a injured party to being a criminal... good work!

We will be recognized as equals by acting reasonably and lawfully, not by committing acts that are criminally chargeable offenses (misdemeanors for most of the acts you listed)

Excellent work. Police response is reactionary. Keeping them busy with complaints about motorists will force them to work for us.

Motorists are winning right now because they complain about us all the time, but the tide is turning.

Or you could cut his brake lines.
