Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Three old ladies passed me as I was gasping for air on the sidewalk, halfway up the railroad overpass once.

I heard them say, "Is he going to die?"

Not like that, I know I hate when I'm suffering up a climb and some dude goes flying by and yells "Morning" as he passes me like I'm standing still, I can hardly breath let alone respond.

A few times in a club though I've heard people say "Who's that?" to which some other girls say "He's that guy, the private eye" I usually reply with "Old Mother hubbard, I F&*% her, oh"

Thing is, they were commenting on the fact that you made the transition from man to woman look so easy, not on your climbing ability.

Now you know, the rest of the story!

Well you passed them when they were going all out, so of from their perspective it is much easier for you. As you said, you would think the same thing when someone like me goes flying past you.

The Gateway Arch in St. Louis is an artists rendering of my stream when I peed across the Mississippi... yes, I was eating a big mac at the time.
