milano 3v frame
buying this frame, and want to know if anybody knows anything about it. its about 5lb, with fork. this is going to be my first bike build, and ive always used quill stems. what do i need to fit the fork? and i think im going to drill a hole in the down tube for some shift levers. lemme know what you think http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...0440881252.jpg

The Milano 3V is an Italian built bike from Alberto Masi.
You need a threadless headset and stem. PLEASE do not drill into the frame it wont work because the tubing is VERY thin. You would need to have bosses brazed on which will destroy the paint (which is brutal imo so maybe not a big loss..) Use bar end shifters if you don't want to use brifters. vjp |

hahaha alright, yeah ill probably do that because i refuse to use brifters. is it a strong frame? it better be for 5 pounds. so all i will need is a headset and stem?
it dose not say if it comes with the bearings inside the tube, lets hope they do |
That looks like a TT frame. Are you sure it will suit your intended use? The picture you posted looks like it is missing the headset i.e. the bearings. So you'll have to get the correct one and have it fitted. You'll some kind of nut for the top cap as well.

yeah, im using it for tt and tri. will i be able to buy the parts and than give them to my lbs to press in? can somebody post a generic link of what i need because i just see a top not a bottom bearing set.

You would be best off by taking the frame and fork to a good local shop and have them help you out. The bike as pictured does not look like it has any "bearings" installed anywhere even "inside the tubes".

If he's using it for TTs and Tri, bar end shifters on aero bars would be appropriate.
