First race in few months.
i will be competing in a road race around august or september.
i'm 17 yrs old so i'm guessing i'll be competing in a age group 15~18.
i have schiwinn world sport and i luv to climb uphill in just normal riding by myself. (I have clipless pedal).O, i started biking for a month. I go biking about 3~4 times a week. i'm a short distance runner in my highschool team, averaging 12.5 sec in 100m.
1)Can anyone tell me how i should practice?
2) Average speed to win the race?
3) Any skills involved (like- tailing the rider in front of me)?
4)What should i bring during the competition (under 30miles race)?
5) Can you tell me any upcomming races in sept, or august?

IIRC you are in socal... the season is pretty much over by August.
