Came across this last night. I like the idea of a thin, light pump that can do both CO2 and manually inflate a tire, given that I ride solo most of the time. My Road Morph was just too clunky for my new 'splody bike. At $8 (delivered to my local REI to save the shipping cost), it's hard to think I went wrong.

I went and picked this up last night. The thing is tiny. Before I took it on today's ride, leaving my trusty RoadMorph behind, I decided I better try it out.

I let all the air out of one of my wheels, screwed on the 16g CO2 cartridge, inserted the valve stem into the pump and unscrewed the cartridge just a smidge to get the CO2 flowing. The tire inflated fully and then some. After I pulled off the pump, I checked the pressure with my floor pump...140 psi!

It's possible that I didn't let all the air out of the tire but I was pretty surprised by this. When researching different CO2 systems I was under the impression that 16g cartridges would take you around 100 to 110 psi. Certainly wasn't expecting 140, especially on my 25mm tires. Just glad it didn't 'splode.


Anyway...they're still on sale at REI last time I checked.
