Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cage Color?

I've attached a picture of my wife's new ride which is in need of water bottle cages. Black or white - that's the question. Bike is still at LBS so no garage door, but I imagine this ride would look a bit strange against a white garage door. Black chainrings might have looked better , but this is obviously an off-the-shelf purchase. Wheel reflectors, etc. will go as soon as we get bike home.

I think the white would blend too much, the black seems like a good choice.

Yellow would match all those safety labels nicely

But seriously, I would say black.

Black to contrast along with the other components (chainrings aside).

+1 to Black - thanks all. I'll hold off an new wheels until my wife has several thousand miles on the ride. We're mostly riding our tandem, but my wife needed a bike that fit for her solo rides 1-2 times during the week. Her small Giant (mens frame) just couldn't be made to fit and, frankly, what Giant calls a women's frame are barely different - primarily look like men's frame shifted down by one size.

It's required for an OCP roadie to also be a hypocrit.

if you had a different colour on the bars, i would say match the cages with the bars.
