Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pearl Izumi road shoe fit?

Anyone have experience in how Pearl Izumi road shoes fit? I recently had a minor surgery on my foot and now my Sidis feel a bit too narrow. The Mega size is a bit too wide. My older Carnacs fit quite well, but I am having a heck of a time finding them anywhere so as to have a second pair to rotate in.

So am looking at PI, but can't seem to find any to try on in my size, 47.

Appreciate any comments on width, and whether they otherwise seem to run true to size.

Thank you.

I have a pair of their shoes and think they run a little wide. A tried on several brands and most seemed too tight.

I wear a 44 Scott but needed a 45 PI, and even that is a snugger fit than the 44 Scott. BTW my sneaker size in Nike/Reebok etc is 43. Go figure.
