Tubular Wheelset
After over 20,000 I have finally had to lay my dear old 404s to rest after a scuffle in a local crit sent me into the curbs. I stayed upright but my 404s took more than they could bear; with the front being all but obliterated from the curb and my rear losing two spokes and revieving a few puntures in the faring from the rider behind.
A shame, but the wheels had served me well for racing and training. I will miss the sexy red carbon hue.
So I am looking for new tubulars for training and racing (Yes I train on them...and if you wish that's a debate for another thread). While my first instict was to immediately order up a new 404 set I thought I might get some impressions on what else is on the market (I am not a zipp be all end all guy, though I am on my CSC clinchers atm).
I am of course interested in the Reynolds MV an DV ULTs, but am also curious about some less expensive options such as the Hed Stinger 6s, Williams 38s/58s and FSA RD 488s. I have heard nothing but good things about the Renolds, but have heard alot of mixed reviews about the Heds and FSAs. I know Williams also recently changed the design of their 38s and 58s, and I don't know if they are still associated with Zipp...also with Williams I am curious about hub durability.
I am an average sized rider at 155. I value stiffness over lightness in order to put down power on rolling terrign and sprints.

Edge=Reynolds...
some of the techies from reynolds left and now you have Edge...both are great wheels.
I think there is a guy on the site here that works for Edge?...hmm...could be wrong.
