11 speed cassettes are compatible with the last generation 10 speed hubs.

True.

The spline pattern is the same but apparently in some cases the 11s cassette gets too close to the spoke side of the hub. Zipp in particular offers a spacer to move it out slightly. I think you really need to ask about a specific wheelset/hub since some are ok and some aren't.

Hey, that's what I was told by several mechanics (and the makers of the hubs in the wheels that I own) that I've spoken to. They all agreed that it should work fine. Granted, there are likely a few wheel/frame combinations that may have spacing issues. But most should work.

joel - are you riding the new 11 sp?

The 11 speed cassette fits any Campy 9/10 spline, but as already noted, some hubs other than Campy may have other issues, like the need for a 1mm spacer behind the cassette and then some have problems with the lockring hitting the frame.

The 11 speed cassette works on my Fulcrum Zero wheels, Ksyrium SSC and 28H Powertap wheels with not problem.

As soon as I come up with enough money for the upgrade I will be. I'm actively saving and about half way to Chorus.

11s cogs do not work on White Industries H2 hubs and a few others. Zipp requires you to pop in a spacer.
