atleast 4 open- pro rims built, stiff enough to be in a Viagra commercial. never had any issues with them, 2 have been on the back on fixed gears, usually 32h 3x across. radial can cause both rim and hub issues

the OPs seemed to have dropped a lot in quality over the years. back in the late 80s and early 90s everyone and i mean everyone rode OPs as there were no pre-built wheelsets. ive still got a 8 speed pair (non-hyperglide) that i still use on my cross bike and my 80s steel road bike and they're still running strong

Try any Velocity. I mean, if they stand up to punk-ass-kid-tricks/abuse ... I know they arent light , but then isnt that how the formula goes : You can only have two. Pick from light, strong, economical. ...

I paid approx $230 shipped for my Neuvation M28s. Weight listed at 1595 per set. I like them a lot. I weigh 148.

They will probably be about 200 grams lighter then what you have now and will be very reliable. The XR-300's may be slightly more aero but nothing drastic.

Thanks again for all the replies and yes that is a good deal. I'm going to Alaska for 2 weeks, then I have to save for the wheels, but I know which way to go.

Years back i had a pair of Rolf's basically the same and no difference what so ever and i never had any problems.

my O/P were laced to C.K. hubs and I sold them for $300.00 after 2.5 years of use, they were g reat wheels but just did not spin up fast enough inmo.a little sluggish but pretty much a strudy and great wheel when it comes to the roads here in texas
