Need wheel comparison
 

Hello!

I need some wheel advice...

I recently bought a 2009 Allez Elite. I also was recently offered a set of Mavic Ksyrium Equipes. Which wheelset is generally considered better? (I have a second bike I can mount the other set to.)

The use would be road riding in a flat city with potholes, etc. and some training.

I would just stick with the Mavic CXP22's. I don't believe that the Ksyrium Equipes offer a big enough performance gain to buy them. If you can get them for a rediculous price, then you might as well pick them up, but if you're gonna pay close to retail, I'd pass and save money for a good wheelset.

the stock hubs aren't great, but just save the extra and get ksyrium elites

Its not a very big upgrade. I would suggest that you wait and do a custom set.
