How much did you buy your CAAD9 for?
I hit about 3 cannondale dealers in a 40 mile radius today. The consensus from them with no bargaining whatsoever was around $1000 for a CAAD9-6.
What should I expect to pay? It will be cash (no receipt if they dont want to give one either).

That's a good price. I just bought a 2009 9-6 a few weeks ago and paid $1025.

I looked at a 2009 CAAD9 6 last week at my LBS for $1049. And they sell enough of them to guess that there will be no discounts in preparation for the 2010 models. They will sell what they have and replace them with the new model.

Haha I've never done something along those lines, but in our current economy, I find small businesses alot more willing to go the extra mile to earn your business.

Good luck with that. I don't think many dealers are worried about selling their CAADs unless they were priced high to begin with.

My caad9-7 equivalent in 08 cost me 860. It's now spotting ultegra and similar components. I wish someone convinced me back then to buy better components right away.

My '09 CAAD9 7 was $800 I think. I also wish I had gotten better components. I hate that you can't shift from the drops with them.

got my new 08' CAAD9 6 for $930 out the door about 4 months ago. $1000 for a new CAAD9 6 is a pretty good deal.

It seems people on BF have an obsession with CAAD bikes. What gives?

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Its frame is lighter than quite a few full carbon bikes (it's even lighter than Cannondale's own Six), it's stiff as hell where it counts but not totally abusive, it's fast, it handles well, and considering its level of performance, it's cheap. One of the best bang-for-the-buck bikes on the market.

CAAD9-5, three days ago, $1250. Free fitting, free first tune up, free repair clinics, 10% off anything in store for life and the ability to demo products. I love my LBS!

Paid $1249 for the caad-9 5. Probably wouldn't have gotten that price if I didn't buy a bunch of accessories with it (pedals, shoes, helmet, etc).
Absolutely love it so far

is the 2010 CAAD going to be basically the same frame? I'm saving up for one, and hoping they're as good as this year's.

2010 CAAD has a few different flavors. They're coming out with a CAAD 9 4, 9 3, and 9 1 I believe. I'm unsure about the 9 3, but totally sure about the 9 4 and the 9 1, since I spoke to a rep about it already.
Frames will still probably be the same, and still made in the US. Spec on the 9 4 is 2009 SRAM Rival, which is the model I'll be getting real soon. woot!
