Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

OP, just so you know "pro" means professional which means they earn a living from racing. I doubt the guys you ride with are pros.

pps you know what's scary? when i saw the title of the thread I thought it was the latest scheme/scam from performance bicycle, a la "double points weekend"
Why do I think?? Because I was diagnosed 3 years before....I go to MD of course.

Why post in the interner... because the doctors are not the bike racers (or ride bikes in general).

If you have a thyroid condition then the treatment and options should be reviewed with you by your doctor. Seriously.

that's not the point.

1) you sid it was a PRO group, not a STRONG group but then you think we're all dumb enough to not see you edited your post.

2) none of ever said we were better than you.

3) I can ride with The entire Astrana team, but if they are riding at an average of 13mph that doesnt' make the level of the ride a pro ride.

ummm there is a reason it is called illegal proformance enhancement-because there is no hormonal solution that can increase your proformance without harming you in some way. why exactly would you even mention testosterone? that's about the oldest steroid there is.
things you have to do:
1. work harder, cross train, get a better diet
2. realize that we all get tired at some point because we are athletes
3. realize that you are in fact 40, and over the next 30-70 years your preformance will continue to decrease and there is nothing you can do about it.

I did a little clean up of this thread, rewarded the guilty and hung the innocent.

Keep it civil, m'kay?

I like the idea... "1. work harder, cross train" please suggest some good website or knowkedgebase I can educate myself for a better plan. What type of plan for "Cross Train" I can take?

Point 2 and 3 are very true and I cannot agree more than that...

This is still going on? If you want to keep up with the group you ride with why not ask them how to be as fast?

Ok here is what you do and what happens:

https://outside.away.com/outside/body...ug_test_1.html

Everybody knows that many athletes cheat by using performance-enhancing drugs like steroids, testosterone, and EPO. But what is it like to take these banned substances? Do they really help you win? To find out, we sent an amateur cyclist into the back rooms of sports medicine, where he just said yes to the most controversial chemicals in sports.
