Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ultraflate Plus uses standard 12oz CO2 cartridges?

I bought a five-pack of 12oz CO2 (Crossman brand, FWIW) cartridges at a sporting goods store but, after getting home, I see those cartridges are a little shorter than the 16oz cartridge I already have. Does the Ultraflate Plus require longer 12oz cartridges? Or am I supposed to use an additional adapter when using 12oz cartridges?

Thanks.

I found the usage instructions at Innovations' web site and there's nothing said about using an adapter with 12oz cartridges. Experimenting with the cartridges, which were cheap, I found simply putting a 12oz cartridge in the sleeve and screwing it in caused the air to escape out. Yes, I tried to screw it in quickly but apparently I wasn't quick enough. However, if I drop a penny in the sleeve to lift the cartridge higher, I was able to screw it in without too much air loss. I guess I'll be carrying a penny in the bag for my rides.
