Question about Rims

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Question about Rims

Right now I have a set of Panaracer Pasela rims on my bike. A bike that was gifted to me and I could still have access to has Matrix Titanium rims. The bikes have the same size tire and are both quick release.

My question is, should I swap the rims? Would there be any advantages sans cosmetically?

Thanks for the answers.

The current one has a six and the other bike that I would take the tires from has a seven.

Would it be possible to yank the derailure off of the one with the new tires as well? I ask only because it's a Shimano versus the current Suntour. :/
