Clipless Pedals question
 

Yes, I used the search function. Searched up to page 10.

Anyways, I am new to road biking, just purchased my bike (will post pics as soon as it is delivered) and now I want to slap on clipless pedals.
I already have myself some shoes that I bought at my LBS - Shimano RO85 (http://www.amazon.com/Shimano-RO85-R.../dp/B000THBLNO)

Looking at ebay, there are some good deals out there. But obviously the cheaper I go the less quality.
I am looking into getting Shimano Ultegra pedals off ebay, but also considering the 105 option.

My question is, with me wanting to go as fast as possible off the start and then deal with the ME aspect with training. Should I just go straight to the Ultegra? Should I even consider the 105? http://www.roadbikereview.com/ isn't rating either all that high~

Also, what other options do I have around the same price range in the different suppliers in about the same quality/performance? I know there is Look, Time, Crank bros, and Speed plays are the most common names.

I want to have good, not great gear walking in, so I don't have to upgrade later. Help advise a noob.

Look harder.

Either 105 or Ultegra will be fine. There's not a lot of difference.

If you've got the extra $$ to spend, just get the Ultegras so you don't wonder 'what if...?'

I guess my years of being a forum junkie have gone rusty.

All I'll say is that I chose to buy the 105 pedals because the only difference I see is a nominal weight penalty. The only reason I see to buy Ultegra or Dura Ace is to match the bike's component group... or maybe you're only 20g away from getting under the whatever number of pounds you have decided is the holy grail of weight weenie-ism.
