Selling crashed carbon
So now that my Giant is actually mine, I've been thinking of selling it. There's a problem. I crashed it in March, and had to re-epoxy the inside of the seatstay. I've ridden it for thousands of miles since, but is it even woth it to try to sound like a used car salesman to unload it for a rediculously low price?
Should I just keep it as backup?

Did you do the work on it or have it done professionally? If one person who did it themselves and one who had it done for them tried to sell to me, I would opt away from the person who did it themselves. If someone like Calfee did it, then sure.

Ebay has amazed me enough to say that people will buy ANYTHING. I've seen a crashed front zip wheel with a huge crack across the rim and broken spokes sell for over $150. I've seen someone literally sell nothing for about $20. I've seen someone sell a dollar bill for $1.27. I've seen a french fry in the shape of Jesus and an ultrasound in the form of the virgin Mary.
If you don't care how cheap it goes, just be honest (show pics of the repaired part, mention the thousands of miles you've ridden on it, etc.) and watch people bid up a storm because they smell a deal.
But yeah, it will probably sell cheap so it might be worth more to you as a backup than a hundred bucks on ebay or craigslist.

The truth is that I'd probably opt out too, but I just wanted to see what the concensus was.

sounds cosmetic. if that's the case just state it as that. just disclose honestly, whatever it is, and see what you get.
