Swap Shimano Front Derailleur with Scram?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Swap Shimano Front Derailleur with Scram?

I've seen people around town using Sram levers with Shimano front derailleurs. what do I need to know/look for in updatability to use Brand X derailleur with my Shimano STI levers?

I meant to write sram, sorry for the typo.

Any reason you want the sram FD? I've read about sram user getting the shimano FD because they think it operates better than the sram FD.

I prefer Shimano FD over SRAM FD. However I prefer SRAM over Shimano for rear shifting.

First thing you need to know is it;s not called "Scram"

Second is, put a Dura Ace f/d on there and call it good.
