Anatomy of a Crash - Dual Video Setup

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I always wanted a video camera so I could see all the crashes I caused ... j/k

Did the bad line in the front cause the crash to the rear? I'm a little slow.

+1. Is this one crash or two? I couldn't see anything in the front.

Just like NASCAR with the on-bike footage. Damn, makes me want to rethink trying crit racing. I always hear it happens but seeing it is different.

The idiotic riding and the ensuing crashes in most MABRA races are the reason why I ride road for fun and race triathlons.

Two crashes. The one in the front is a bit harder to see, but you can see what causes it rather than the crash itself. As the video narrates, the rider in blue goes left, forcing a squeeze/scrunch, and somebody on the outside hits the curb.

I avoid anyone with a camera on them. Its as if they assume there will be a crash around them (hum wonder why)

Awesome camera footage...nice gear.
A long time ago a racer named Paul Curley...google him he was/is quite good...mounted a camera on his frame for a race. It was nothing like today's technology.
Thanks for the footage.

It looks like a factor contributing to the crash to the rear was the fact that the guy braked on the white (slick) pavement marking which made it easier for him to lock 'em up.

Poor bike handling right there, plain and simple! Hell, the one guy just paniced and took himself out.
Didn't look like the speed was even that high to warrant that kind of freak out!
