Any info on this alu Centurion?
Thanks. :thumb:
All I can tell you is that it has a 1" steerer, is made with Easton Elite alu, has threaded downtube bosses, http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...nturiontwo.jpg |
1" threadless makes me think circa 2000, but of course the crank is later than that.
Sheldon Brown said there was a Danish Centurion bicycle brand, and a German Centurion brand too. Both unrelated to the classic Diamond Back/Centurions... |
Thanks.
I didn't know about the other countries |
Looks very nice. I think it may be of the Dutch Centurion brand sold in Europe? I have never seen a similar model in the USA. Here is a link on the history of Centurion: http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/in.../t-137546.html
There also is a German joint venture with Merida. http://www.bike-eu.com/news/690/meri...-business.html This also may help: http://sheldonbrown.com/centurion/index.html I still have my 1983 Elite 12. Great bike. Good luck. |
Thanks.
