Squeeky saddle?

I've got a squeeky saddle and I'm not sure if it is a mounting problem, a saddle design issue, just an unlucky individual saddle or something else.

It is a Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow Ti316. Click for a pic.

It is the second saddle I have trialled on the new bike and has been quite comfortable, but has been a little noisy on my regular rides (mostly hills, slow climbs/fast descents). However when I did a longer fast/flat ride with a group it was really noisy.

Has anyone had an issue with this saddle?

It squeeks no matter what I am wearing (even casual clothes) and still squeeks on my single speed commuter.

I've got a Fizik Arione to trial, so I'll see how that goes!

Same problem here. It's really, really annoying. :notamused:

I've got a Selle Italia Flite Titanium mounted on a Chorus carbon seatpost and found, with my fat ass, that this saddle flexes too much in the middle and sides of this saddle rubs on the seatpost. Someone has suggested putting a piece of foam between the saddle and the seatpost but I haven't tried that yet.

After a bit of experimentation I couldn't get it anywhere near touching the seatpost, but I could rub parts of the saddle against the rails.

On one side only, towards the front, it is possible to get enough movement in the saddle to recreate the squeak. I slipped a bit of paper between the rail and the saddle and the noise stopped. Might need to lubricate or pad this area out and see how that goes.

Nuts.
