Another Pcad Cycling Zen Master Class

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No TT for me Saturday. Fell off the roof yesterday. My wrist is sprained, could be busted I suppose. Too sore to ride a TT bike. I'm going to try a regular bike today and see how that works.

In 2008 I rode up L'Alpe Huez the day before the Tour rode it. I was amazed at the people lining the
course. They cheered and applauded my effort. They were wonderful.

Did you roll down your car window and wave back?

Your lucky you did not fall off the back roof. You would still be rolling into that ravine and we would be auditioning for a new BF popinjay.

The French: "Victory is secondary." Victories in the last twenty-four Tours = zero.

Johan Bruyneel: "'We Might As Well Win.'" Wins in the last eleven Tours = nine.

Just sayin'. I'm all for a Cycling Zen culture at my level, and at a general level, but maybe not so much at Michael Barry's level.
