Bought my first road bike - 2010 Specialized Tarmac Elite
2010 Specialized Tarmac Elite. Picked it up yesterday, and just added the Garmin Edge 305.
Planning a ride (50miles) on Sunday. lol
Oh, I don't have a garage, so the man cave was chosen.

Nice looking bike for it being the entry level tarmac (I own an 08 elite myself, and your frame looks WAY better!)

I did post a thread asking questions here a few months back.
I realized that I had to make the decision, and rode everything from a Pinarello to a Motobecane to make my decision.

Yes, that's just some of it. I do load my own as I shoot A LOT. Both competitively and for recreation.
It doesn't help that I have my own shooting range behind my house.
The prices of both ammo and guns have gone wild, and that's one of the reasons I decided to get into road biking finally; I've wanted one since I was in HS (32 now).

Awesome! I have been riding my 09 Tarmac Expert this year and it's an awesome bike. You'll absolutely love yours!

If I may ask, I'm a little curious as to the difference between your Tarmac and a Roubaix... I noticed that with the Tarmac you have, the Zertz insert is only in the seatpost, whereas for the Roubaix they have them in both the front and rear forks.... ?
I am kind of new here, but I assume that the Tarmac is a more aggressive stance than the Roubaix?
Still, amazing bike, enjoy it

I actually just purchased my first road bike this week as well, and after test riding both the Tarmac and Roubaix, I went with the Roubaix Elite. There is a definite difference in stance between the two.

Is there any reason why the pricing on the Specialized bikes this year is so much lower than last year? I noticed that the FACT 10r w/ the RED is $4400... sounds amazingly low.
