I feel really GOOD!!!!!

Well on Sunday, I road my longest distance ever at 22 miles, and Monday, I took the day off to recover.
Today I decided to ride for 30 minutes on my usual route.

Then I had to ride to a post office box to leave some of my parents mail and I road so good. I did'nt feel tired or bored, I just kept pedaling and at a fast cadence. IDK if it has to do with the 22 miles I did on sunday but I feel like I can go for alot longer than usual and not build as much lactic acid as fast as I use to do when I first started to ride early this summer. I feel so good, the rush of adrenaline I get when I can keep going faster for longer periods of time make cycling amazing. I started using my down bars now too, I usually ride the mtn bike stance way, but now I go aeroesque. I dont have aero bars but atleast I tuck my tummy as I pedal now. It makes a big difference. Man I feel GOOD!!!

quit while your still ahead. its not but suffering downing the road.

dcvelo 09-01-09 07:23 PM

I go "aeroesque" a lot too. But be aware that for the hard core feeling good is very far from the point...

pdedes 09-01-09 07:42 PM

so what are you gonna do when you encounter some suffering? quit?

ummm, we might not be on the same level. I ride my bike just for the pleasure. When I feel pain, I keep going until im finished. But lets say I wake up with pain, why in the hell would I go out and ride?

Once again I just cycle for the fun and fitness of cycling, its an awesome thing.

Nachoman 09-01-09 09:28 PM

Suffering does not necessarily mean pain.

mzeffex 09-01-09 09:31 PM

^ Oh god oh god what is this that's too deep.

You won't be feeling good all the time. Just learn how to suffer and like the pain.

When you can snatch the pebble from my hand, you will understand the meaning.

I've found that there were days like that, where I look outside and see crappy weather (I won't ride in a downpour, of course, but gray clouds and maybe a little drizzle are do-able), or I wake up and feel awful. "Why?" I ask myself. Then I suit up anyways and once I'm committed and on the bike again, it all goes away and I can pedal again. And when I'm done, even if it's just a short 13-mile ride, I'm glad that I did it.
