That was my experience with Wippermann as well.
I've used SuperLink and SRAM links for years, never had one fail.
I ran a Wippermann for 300 miles, the link disconnected, and of course one half got lost in the weeds.

I wonder how many people who had problems with the Wipperman link put it on upside down. Never hurts to read the instructions. I've used them for years and never had a problem.

Funny thing, I was reading this thread last week & didn't post my Wipperman experience which was great...until today...it failed. About 1800 miles on it, oriented correctly.
