Pay it Forward: Need help with pearl or vb.net programming

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Since when did pay it forward come to mean give me **** for free?

Pay it forward means you do something for some one else not the other way around.

This kind of crap belongs on craigs list.

End of mini rant.

Go to Foo. People ask questions like this all the time there.

I knew some Perl 15 years ago, but that stuff has been replaced with listings of which Shimano group is better than which SRAM is better than which Campagnolo, etc.

Correct

Step 1: Do something spontaneously generous and helpful for someone else.

Step 2: Tell the recipient to "pay it forward."

Step 3: Recipient then does something spontaneously generous and helpful for someone else (not you).

And so on.

Incorrect

"Hi, help me please."

I think you mean PERL; it's an acronym for Practical Extraction Report Language (at least in one definition).

If you want somebody to do something, you need a better sales pitch than that.

What is the project?
What will the coder get out of it?
Talk to us.
